Browns Bear Den #235

Check in and out was very simple. Very nice cabin and great location. Needs to be cleaned better, very dirty under master bed ! Neither fireplaces worked, that is one reason why we waited until October to visit. Also upstairs shower was not usable, no water pressure. Being just two of us, it wasn't that terrible. Spent most of our time out sightseeing.

Our stay was great. Loved the upper and lower deck and the fire pit area. Location is excellent if you enjoy the sound of silence as much as we do. The location to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is perfect. Back roads to everywhere!! The craftsman’s loop was a new discovery for us that we wouldn’t have found. My 5 year old grandson gives you 5 stars as well. The only thing I could suggest is trimming the rosebush and the evergreens at the gate. Kinda scratchy on a vehicle.

Easy check in and out. Cabin was amazing. We loved that it was pet friendly, hot tub was great and very peaceful. We even had a mom bear and her three cubs visit.

We loved renting from Aunt Bug's! The process was simple and you could always reach someone with any questions or concerns! Also, the cabin was awesome! It was clean and had all the amenities needed for a great family vacation!

It was more than I could’ve pictured it to be! It was a wonderful stay, when I had questions or concerns they were there to help no questions about it!

Remote check in was super easy, as well as checkout. Cabin was close to Gatlinburg so only a short drive to all things offered there.

The cabin was amazing. The location was great. This was our first time renting a cabin and will def use Aunt Bugs again. The process was seamless!

Checkin/out was very easy. Cabin was beautiful. Gave 4 stars only because of the sulfur smell in the water.

Great customer service. One issue we had was the driveway. There were also no check out instructions, so we didn't know what was expected.

Cabin was clean and had all amenities needed. It was a great location and very secluded. Everything worked as it should. (TV in living room was a little annoying with the sound but there was a work around)

Very nice Cabin. The driveway was difficult to turn my truck into and I was stuck on the steep road until we got the gate unlocked to pull in the drive. Other than that it was great!

Check in was super easy, friendly staff. Our cabin was very clean... Few things though, checker board had no checkers and the pool table with sticks had no chalk. Master bedroom had a very comfortable bed, I slept like a baby!

Good place to make a memory would go back again! Had everything we needed for a fun family vacation.

This cabin is 20 minutes from the main drag in pigeon forge and 10 min from the main drag in Gatlinburg. It&#x2019;s perfect. The master room is on the bottom floor and the other room is on the 3rd floor. A little far from our kids but we could hear when they woke up and their feet hit the floor. The outside fire area is the best. Big, plenty of seats. I miss it already. <br/>Housekeeping was lackluster. We don&#x2019;t smoke but all the outside ashtrays were full when we arrived, we had guests over and they were grossed out as well. I was looking for a sock, checked under bed and there was garbage, a lid to something, batteries misc other things. <br/>Other than housekeeping the cabin is perfect and we would go again.

The office staff was very friendly. Cabin was great, exactly what was pictured. Housekeeping could improve.

The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. There was plenty of space for us to spread out (family of 4 with kids 12 and 15). Cabin was clean and everything was as expected from the photos. Customer service was very helpful with questions before our arrival.

The floor plan of the cabin was a little odd - one bedroom is down right next to the "game room" and is a bit tight with a king bed. The other is up in the loft area with sketchy steps to get up. But overall, the gathering spaces were great! Outdoor firepit area doesn't quite look like the photos.

Easy to access and very close to town but still secluded. Had a wonderful stay!

You should make sure that most of the lightbulbs are working in the cabin. We should have a rose bushes and shrubs trimmed back out of the driveway so it’s not to scratch the vehicles. And get Rid of the bat and the bat droppings that lives on the balcony. Other than that I loved the place it was nice and secluded and I had a great time.

Took the family to the Smokie Mountains for an adventure filled vacation and Aunt Bugs cabin didn't disappoint at all.

Everything was clean neat and peaceful there. The kids really enjoyed their self. Will be back.

Cabin was clean, beautiful. Very nice. Kind of small for a big family. We took our dogs and there really isn&#x2019;t a place for them to use the bathroom. Besides that it was great. Very private.

Overall this cabin is very nice and in a great location 10 minutes to gatlingburg maybe 20 to pigeon forge. The only thing that was tough for us is that the kids room is upstairs and the master is in the basement. Are kids are young and did not want to sleep up there. Plus the spiral stairs are very hard to climb up. The outdoor fire pit was great as we like to hang out and burn wood. The TV was just OK, but we just streamed movies to the TV as I brought my chromecast. The arcade, pool table, and foosball were all fun. Overall very pleased

The porches and outdoor area makes this house! The game room was great for the kids but we stayed outside more than we stayed inside. The hill and drive are on the steep side. But the location to the Arts & Craft District made our stay the first of many to come! And that fire place by the master whirlpool tub is AHHHmazing!!!

Driveway was a little steep but otherwise it was great, the cabin was absolutely beautiful and clean and despite all the rain and flooding during our stay we enjoyed the cabin and had a great time. We will definitely be returning!

The cabin exceeded our expectations. The pictures truly didn’t do it justice. Loved the fire places and the tub.

The cabin was beautiful but not clean....playdough in futon, Lunchable wrapper under couch. Floors very dirty. Tub and shower had mold, hair, and dirt. We will stay again.

Great new upgrades! New regulation sized pool table. Rustic Amish-made cedar kitchen table and new white cedar futons. It rained during most of our stay so the inside upgrades were really appreciated. Once the rain cleared out, we were able to enjoy the great outdoor space including the corn hole game and fire pit. The two-sided fireplace with one side in the master bedroom and the other in the jetted tub was very romantic (after the kids were down for the night!) The stone shower on the main floor was also pretty terrific. We didn’t see any bears (except the cute ones on the gate), but it was really great not seeing any other cabins either. The little ones loved playing the retro arcade games - again a life saver on the rainy days. Absolutely enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again as soon as schedules permit.

Cabin was great, and (especially) the lady that finally got us booked to a good price. Our over overall experience with the Cabin (cabin #235 Brown's Bear Den) Excellent!! I had rented from Timber Tops for the last 4 years alone with family members I had referred. They refused to go down on any cabin I picked out and I am glad because I got to rent from Aunt Bugs and stay in this cabin. To the Browns ( the cabin owners) your cabin was Beautiful!!. And I see you do everything inside for your guests to enjoy their stay! The whirlpool Tub/ Jacuzzi should really be called a 2 person Hot tub. It was so Nice and Big- both my husband and I had lots of room it fits 2 people with no problems, so big we never even got into the Hot Tub and with the fireplace facing Whirlpool tub in a closed in Large bathroom was Amazing! That same fireplace faced the closed in Master bedroom from the other side was VERY nice it was like 2 different fireplaces. (Most cabins with a Heart Shape Jacuzzi are not as big as advised I Promise, and is one of the reasons I rented this cabin. The walk in stand up stone wall Large shower with a Large bathroom area was also very Nice-Great! The cabin was close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The living room was Big, the kitchen was nice and we didn't have to buy anything because it had everything Anyone could need, and the in closed bedroom up the spiral staircase was very nice with to opening doors to sit at a 2 person table and look out the large Glass windows was beautiful. We did not sleep up there but it was beautiful. There were nice TV's in the Living room, both bedroom's and in the Game room. We played foosball and the Arcade game the most. We want to badly bring our 2 children back with us and rent the cabin once more because of the location, and how nice the cabin was they would love it. This cabin is Great for a Couple on a Honeymoon, Anniversary, and could a least cover 2 couples with a couple of children. So, my husband and I and our two children will have a lot of space in this cabin. The cabin is in Gatlinburg it is very private and away from everything but you can be on the Gatlinburg strip in 3-4 minutes and if we turned on a different road to will be at Dollywood in minutes without getting on the busy Parkway if you want to avoid it altogether, or take a road and use the Parkway. The only problems we had 2 problems with the cabin itself - 1.-The pool table is to old or just miss used or messed up: The balls will roll like it's uneven after you take a shot and the balls stop they would then roll and you had to break the sit from the opposite end so they would stay together to break to start the game. (the game room was one of 2 reasons we spent extra money for this cabin and was something we wanted to enjoy) 2.- Fireplace: The fireplace went out on the second day in the bedroom, and we was told where the instructions was and how to relight it instead maintenance coming. My husband was told to read instructions, (they were attracted to the inside under the fireplace itself so you could not just pick up a sheet of paper and read them but after all that he realized the knob was broke and for the rest of the visit for our Anniversary we didn't get to enjoy the fire place in the Master bedroom, (and was the other reason why we paid extra money for this cabin was the fire place in the bedroom- that was only used 6 hours the next morning). We had a couple of problems with Aunt Bugs service- 1.) Fireplace Telling us to get instructions to fireplace to relight instead sending maintenance. 2.) Reservations: I called 2 weeks before the date we was coming and it the price was to high for our budget, and because Timber Tops was really just unprofessionally to a good paying customer we seen Browns Bears Den was still open and I called 3 to 4 times 1 week before our trip because we Loved this cabin from pictures But could not get a price settled in between so we could keep our plans to renew our vows. On the day we was going to leave our home we decided to come up and rent from USA. I SEEN the cabin (Aunt Bugs BROWN BEAR DEN #235) was still open then we called and finally got a price in our budget (Only 90.00 difference that could not be given to a soldier serving this Country) and it would have helped a lot if Aunt Bugs would have worked with us on the price because my husband is a US Marine (military), and only had those days. 3.) Due to 90.00/ getting there late/ printing papers that took 2 hours from our trip/ couldn't find cabin/ door for the key/ We Where Not Able to Renew Our Wedding Vows!- After paying over the phone, we printed and signed 6 pages because it wasn't not an attachment each page had to be cropped, printed, signed, scanned and sent to email. We drove 6 hours and got to the office at 12:10am in which we should have been there at 8:30pm, but after printing signing papers we lost that time. After arriving to the office once again we had to sign papers, the same set of papers we spent 2 hours emailing. The directions to the cabin was wrong( it stated the 2nd cabin on that road and cabin drive way will have a Bear statue) there where more than 2 cabins on that road but the road changed names with no turns, the drive way and had No Bear Statue and do not use GPS- in the mountains that is not heard of, we found the cabin at 2:05am (and this was our 7th trip to the mountains and know it can be hard at night but wrong directions does not help. After getting to the cabin we did not know which key opened which door. When you get to the cabin no lights are on so we use a flash light, and when you walk up the First door to the cabin that is ground level, you would think that should be the door you would open, and if not someone could have told us that but no information to that. Therefore we thought we had done something wrong. It was every cold and was deciding whether to call the Emergency number, when my husband walked up a flight of steps outside and finally found the door the key opened after trying 3 doors around the cabin . We got into the cabin finally at 2:55am. We figured out the lights inside and lights outside to bring our things inside, got our bags upstairs to only have to take them downstairs where the first door was and where the Master bedroom room was and got into bed at 4:30am. Now we our on our 2nd day of our booked stay for this cabin when we go to sleep at 4:30am. We was woke up by a phone call to go back to the office to sign more papers and copy my husband's ID, the front desk office service asked how we were and if we found everything, and liked the cabin. I said we like the cabin but "No we did not get into bed until 4:30am. He didn't say wait a couple hours to come to the office OR what happened or anything caring. We was told to be there by lunch, and set a clock. They called at 10:00am. We didn't get to enjoy the cabin that day because we went to bed at 7:30pm after loosing all that sleep. So, we enjoyed 1 day and 1 night at this beautiful cabin and rented it for 3 days and didn't get to go Horse Back riding or go to Adventure Landing to do the zip lining so giving by Aunt Bugs, and we could not talk about staying another night because my husband had to be back at his duty station one day following check out And Most Importantly we did not get to follow our plans to Re-New Our Wedding Vows, so the 90.00 we thought we saved, ended up costing us 189.00, and much much more. BUT THE CABIN IT SELF WAS WONDERFUL TRULY- THANK YOU TO THE BROWNS-FOR A BEAUITFUL PRIVATE CABIN THAT WE ENJOYED VERY MUCH. THANKS TO AUNT BUGS FOR RENTING US THIS CABIN AND HOPEFULLY AFTER MY HUSBAND RETURNS IN JULY FROM HIS DEPLOYMENT AND WE COME BACK AND STAY AT THIS CABIN OR ONE BIGGER WITH OUR CHILDREN IN JULY. THANKS TO ALL

I expressed my concerns about the driveway from the reviews I had saw. I was told it wasn't that bad. On normal conditions maybe but after snowing & road icing over it was very dangerous! The cabin had no snow shovel or salt or de-icing material. Terrible experience trying to get off the mountain.

we enjoyed our stay at the Browns bear den!!! Nice & peaceful & close to town. Everything was great. Did want to let you know that we only did hot tub once as it was leaving a brown foam on our bodies/swim suits & the bubbles had a brown film on them as well. I did also call about the door handle being very loose on the main floor. We were okay with it as we used the other doors to access the porch. Other than that we had a great time & was impressed with the cabin! We left some paper towels & coffee filters to be used for future vacationers. Was a little disappointed when checked out as the lady just took our keys & never bothered to ask us how it was or if we enjoyed ourselves! When checking in a week ago the gentleman who checked us in was super nice & friendly! We will keep aunt bugs information so when we visit again. Please thank the Browns for opening their cabin to others to have a wonderful vacation in the smokies!! Josh & Amy Thomas.

We had a very nice stay, just wished we would have been told about having to pay $75.00 for each pet.

Loved our cabin! Was super clean, quiet, and fun! Lot's of different places to hang out. Kitchen was super stocked. Did not need half of what we brought. Fantastic cabin for adults or adults w older kiddos.
