If you are looking for an exciting activity to enjoy during your Smoky Mountain vacation, check out one of the tubing attractions in the Smokies! These attractions offer a thrilling adventure for all ages and are great ways to spend an afternoon with your family and friends! Here are 3 fun attractions where you can go tubing in the Smoky Mountains:
1. Ober Gatlinburg
One of the premier places to go tubing in the Smoky Mountains is Ober Gatlinburg, which offers an awesome snow tubing park during the winter season and hill tubing in the summer! You don’t have to climb back up the hill each time since the Magic Carpet outdoor escalator takes care of the work for you! Each of the tubing sessions are 90 minutes, so you can go down the slopes as many times as you want during your session. The ticket price is the same for adults and children, and kids ages 3 and 4 are free with a paying adult! Keep in mind the tubing park at Ober Gatlinburg is very popular so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance and allow plenty of time to take the Aerial Tramway to the top of the mountain.
2. Pigeon Forge Snow
If you are worried about inclement weather spoiling your plans to go tubing in the Smoky Mountains, just head on over to Pigeon Forge Snow! As the first indoor snow park in the USA, this amazing facility offers snow tubing all year long! While you never have to worry about the snow melting, the temperature inside the building is always kept between a comfortable 60 and 70 degrees. Therefore, it’s not even necessary to bring your parka along! You don’t need to make any reservations at Pigeon Forge Snow, so simply show up when you are ready to begin your adventure. To enjoy the tubing hill, participants must be at least 38 inches tall and 3 years old. However, kids of all ages can explore the huge Snow Play area, where they can build snow forts and snowmen!
3. Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park
You can enjoy tubing all year long on the tubing hill at Rowdy Bear Mountain Adventure Park in Pigeon Forge! This unique attraction offers all the excitement of snow tubing without the snow. It features a 70 foot drop where you can reach speeds over 35 miles per hour! After selecting your colored tube, make your way over to the magic carpet conveyor that will take you to the top of the ridge. Once at the peak, admire the spectacular views of Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains before taking your ride! The tubing hill is open during the day and at night, so be sure to come back in the evening when the hill is lit up with beautiful LED lights. You can choose between 30-minute and 1-hour wristbands, but participants must be at least 4 years old and 42 inches tall.
